Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival
Upon your arrival in Beijing, our professional tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel with air-conditioned private car.
Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Forbidden City, the Tian'anmen Square and the Temple of Heaven. Beijing Duck dinner is served in the evening. (BLD)

Forbidden City: Built between 1406 and 1420, the Forbidden City was the palace of the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, a period extending over 500 years. The atmosphere created by the many temples, halls and courtyards - not to mention the colors of the tiles, roofs and painted wood - is unique, leaving you with a lasting impression of imperial China. The palace has over 9000 rooms.
Tian'anmen Square: The heart of urban Beijing and large enough to accommodate an assembly of one million people. It stands in front of the Forbidden City, at its north the Tiananmen Rostrum, from which imperial decrees were promulgated.
Temple of Heaven: A masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world's great civilizations, and had a profound influence on architecture and planning in the Far East over many centuries.

Day 03:

Beijing
Visit the Summer Palace and the Yonghegong Lama Temple. Have a Hutong tour in the afternoon. (BL)

Summer Palace: The best preserved and the second largest royal garden in China, with a history of over 800 years.
Yonghegong Lamasery: A famous lamasery located in the northeastern part of the old city of Beijing. It was a palatial residence built in 1694 by Qing Emperor Kangxi for his fourth son, Prince Yongzheng who later succeeded to the throne.
Hutong: A hutong is a unique form of community that exists only in China, literally means a small street or a lane between two courtyards, although the word can also mean a community within the city consisting of hutongs and residences.

Day 04:

Beijing - Chengde
Drive to Chengde, visit the Jinshanling Great Wall on the way. On arrival at Chengde, visit the Mountain Resort of Chengde. (BL)

Jinshanling Great Wall: The Jinshanling Great Wall was initially built from 1368 to 1389 in the Ming DynastyThe total length of this section is about eleven kilometers.
Mountain Resort of Chengde: The Mountain Resort of Chengde, located at Chengde City Hebei Province, is the largest imperial garden in modern China. It covers a total area of 564 square kilometers, and is twice as large as the Summer Palace in Beijing. In the Qing Dynasty, it took 89 years (1703-1792) to complete. The emperors Kangxi and then Qianlong were in charge of this project.

Day 05:

Chengte - Beijing
Visit Pule Temple and Putuozongcheng Temple. Transfer back to Beijing. (BL)

Pule Temple: The Pule Temple is just like a round pavilion from the appearance. There are 72 woods symbolizing 72 kinds of wisdom of the Buddha.
Putuozongcheng Temple: Putuozongcheng Temple: It locates to the sourth of the Mountain Resort of Chengde. The temple has been built up 1771.

Day 06: Departure
Transfer to the airport and fly to your next desitination, service ends. (B)

Quotation Includes

1. The economy-class air charges of the domestic flight or soft sleeper/seat train charge between cities as specified in the itinerary.

2. The hotel accommodation is based on two persons sharing one standard twin room with private facilities in all relevant locations. If a single client requests a twin room alone, the single room supplement will be charged.

3. For the land tour in each city, daily American breakfast is served in the hotel, and Chinese lunch and/or dinner will be served with two cups of soft drink outside the hotel. All meal arrangements are served as the itinerary specifies.

4. Private transfers for you and your party as a group between airports, train stations, hotels and all sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

5. One private English-speaking guide and driver will accompany you on all normal sightseeing tours in each city.

6. Entrance fees to the tourist sites.

7. Should your tour include a cruise, then the shore excursion in groups and activities will be subject to the arrangements made by the cruise company.

8. China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

9. The Tibet Travel Permit application fee applicable if your tours include Tibet.

 

 

Quotation Excludes

1. The international or domestic air/train charge of arrival and departure.

2. Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, drink, telex, telephone calls or overweight baggage charges.

3. Charge of obtaining your visa to enter China.

4. Optional Programs.

5. Tips to Guide and driver. Suggested tips: USD10-14 to guide per day, USD 8-10 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you.
